Painter to La Rochelle - France
France
Bridg' is a French artist born in 1978. After an artistic training in different art schools, he turns to painting to quickly assert a very particular style.
Bridg', a mysterious painter, particularly appreciates monochrome creations. He likes to work essentially with the material, using generous touches of paint to play on the relief, luminosity and transparency of colours.
Bridg' regularly exhibits in galleries in Paris, Miami and Montreal.
Minimalism, an abstract movement, stems in part from Modernism, and draws some of its inspiration from the Bauhaus, whose leading artist, the architect Mies Van der Rohe, proclaimed that "less is more".
Bridg' opts for stripped-down, basic geometric forms (circles, squares, lines) and a limitation of colours (the works are almost monochrome).
We are dealing with extreme sobriety and the greatest economy of means, Bridg' avoiding at all costs the decorative and the creation of illusions
