Hanvie is an Upcycling company that prioritizes social inclusion by integrating Workers with Disabilities at the core of its operations. Our Work Integration Structure (approved by the New Caledonia Government) enables workers with disabilities to learn and create designer objects using recycled or reclaimed materials. The concept revolves around providing a second chance: offering Workers with Disabilities (WWD) a fresh opportunity while giving objects a second life.
The HANVIE program utilizes upcycling as a tool for professional integration. Upcycling involves repurposing materials or products that are no longer in use to create higher-quality or more useful materials or products. It is a form of "upward recycling". The benefits of upcycling include waste valorization, positive environmental impacts, fostering creativity, and promoting solidarity economy.
