Created in 1994 by the same artists as the Canuts wall, the fresco of the people of Lyon depicts 24 historical figures from Lyon, as well as 6 other contemporary figures on the ground floor, all distinguished in various disciplines (arts, science, politics, etc.). You will find their names at the bottom left of the fresco.

The trompe l'oeil windows of the Fnac downstairs add to this list of nearly one hundred artists from Lyon. The fresco stretches across the facade as well as both sides of the building. The aim of the fresco is to showcase Lyon's identity and symbols. Passers-by are also represented, showing that the legacy of these illustrious figures still lives on in the city's streets today.
