A pizza delivery man, some penguins, a man on the phone, a bear, a young girl on rollerblades... These are the Inhabitants who have populated the Cité internationale de Lyon since 2006. Xavier Veilhan created a total of six sculptures in polyester resin in response to a commission from Grand Lyon. These rather unusual inhabitants are monumental in size (between 2.8 and 8 metres), partly sculpted by hand and partly using a 3D printer.
The artist, a native of Lyon, is now one of the best-known French sculptors in the world, recognisable by his colourful, geometric works, from Venice to New York.
