A work by Lyon-based artist Xavier Veilhan, the Romy statue, three meters high and weighing five hundred kilos, was inaugurated in September 2019.
The three-meter-high, 500-kilo statue features a female bust with crossed arms, facing the station to symbolize “the contemporary female traveler”.
Constructed from stainless steel, polystyrene, fiberglass and polyester resin, the statue is distinguished by its “melon yellow” color.
Veilhan chose to install it on the ground, without a pedestal, to create a more intimate interaction with passers-by.
