Description

This stage actually brings together three sites that can be visited in succession. The Church of the Convent of Saint Francis, the Church of the Third Order of Saint Francis and the Museum of the Order of Saint Francis.

The Church of the Convent of Saint Francis, listed as a national monument since 1910, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.

The Church of the Third Order of Saint Francis:

The current church, heir to two earlier sacred spaces, began construction at the end of the 18th century and represents the beginning of a new classical religious architecture in Porto.

The museum:

The museum tour continues in the Casa do Despacho, designed by architect Nicolau Nasoni, which includes the treasure room, the session room and the catacomb cemetery.
