Studio Katra, which has been based in Nantes since 2011, is a multi-disciplinary agency that provides a wide range of services to organisations. As a balancing act, the agency moves between many different worlds, from street art frescoes to interior design, via illustration, graphic design, product design and space design. A fundamental pillar of their business, their teams also create territorial and brand identities that prefigure and contextualise urban development projects.
Whether painting or woodwork, their creations juggle different materials, often combining the two to create innovative and complementary experiences. With this creative richness in mind, their creations also draw on the immense expertise of FAAT (Fabrique Artisanale d'Aménagement du Territoire), a craft ecosystem located at the former MIN on the Île de Nantes, a fertile breeding ground for urban farmers, architects, letter painters, mosaicists and textile ennoblers.
Above all a collective, Katra hardly has a predefined style. On the contrary, their agency embraces a wide range of techniques, which, when combined with these many different trades, give rise to a unique narrative DNA. From geometric to abstract, aerosol to acrylic, modelling to assemblage, volatile symbolism to concrete representation, the possibilities become almost infinite.
Works of art, made-to-measure furniture, installations, screen-printing, textiles, mosaics, cork caps, corn'hole and many other surprises await you at Katra!

The agency's most recent projects include "Le Champ des Signes", a Street Art project on the forecourt of La Joliverie and Grafipolis in collaboration with their students, which featured an alphabet book of around fifty different patterns and a total of over 700 motifs on the ground.
The second project to date is an XXL Street Art fresco on the Cordionnais water tower in Montoir-de-Bretagne, located between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire, to showcase the "Saint-Nazaire Renversante" brand identity and send out a message about the increasing scarcity of water.
