Founded in 2007 by visual artist Jean-François Courtilat, the RDV association is dedicated to contemporary art, providing a space for artists and the general public to discover and exchange ideas. The gallery hosts an average of seven exhibitions a year, and organises two or three outside its walls. All are original projects. Contemporary art today stands out for its diversity of mediums: photography, painting, sculpture, video, performance... And it is with this richness in mind that RDV's programming is built up, excluding no plastic expression and offering a generous and constantly renewed programme. Each exhibition is a carte blanche for a visual artist, invited for his or her artistic work with complete freedom of production. As a cultural player in the region, the RDV gallery presents regional, national and international artists with a view to showcasing the richness of contemporary production. Emerging artists deliberately rub shoulders with more experienced artists to encourage exchange and experimentation in the visual arts.

It's not a commercial venue, but an experimental space for the various players on the visual arts scene. It's a place that welcomes the public, informs them and shows them the richness and dynamism of contemporary art.
