For the last 20 years Lucy has painted murals across the globe, originating from a DIY approach with simply an innate desire to break up the rigid structures that surround us…For me it’s never just about the finished result. It’s also the memories & connections I’ve made along the way.
These large-scale monochromatic paintings cover the sides of houses and multi-stories throughout Europe, gigantic billboards in Guangzhou, gallerias of Japan, buildings in The Gambia, rooftop in Marrakech, public gardens of London / Rome / Moscow, waterways of the Midlands, Italian water towers, Norwegian lighthouse, Detroit parking lot and abandoned NYC subway tunnels…
On the roof of the medicine doctor covered in trinkets, potions & carcasses watching over me. Commissioned by MB6 for the Marrakech Biennale.
