Located at the foot of the Centre Pompidou, the Igor Stravinky Fountain was created in 1983 by the artists Jean Tinguely and Niki de Saint Phalle. It is recognisable by its 16 colourful sculptures animated by jets of water evoking the work of the famous Russian composer. Located on a square sheltered from traffic, the Stravinky Fountain is bordered by a few restaurants, the Centre for Research in Contemporary Music (IRCAM) and the Saint-Merri church.
