This monumental sculpture was created in 2010 by Mr K in the workshops of the Lycée Professionnel Louis Delage in Cognac. It is the result of a year of mediation, exchanges and creation around an ambitious project. The dragon is the result of recycling and cooperation, and was imagined by the artist from the set elements left by the Générik Vapeur company after their performance at the Coup de Chauffe festival in Cognac in 2009. Before taking up residence at the entrance to the town, the iron dragon was seen in numerous festivals such as "Coup de Chauffe à Cognac" in 2010, "les Sarabandes" in Lignières-sonneville in 2012, and "Rue Libre" at the national street arts centre in Niort in 2012. Since 2013, it has returned to its native town and its openwork silhouette is an invitation to travel along the river to the ocean.
