I particularly appreciate working on very large formats, sometimes up to 2mx2m. This allows me the breadth of gesture, the detachment, the deployment of energy. My favourite theme is the portrait. Disproportionate size. The hair which marks the movement, accentuates the forms... I start with charcoal, I draw, I erase... Then I work with oil.
