The artwork titled 'Social Weave' aims to shine a light on current social issues in the city. In the age of information, current media focus has shined a light on the state of race issues on a global scale. Some of which are blindly overlooked or thought to be overcome, by some. Social Weave aims to break down all social stigmas/barriers/indifference. By casting a shadow on the figure, no difference is perceived, connoting a connection to humanity not defining identity by the colour of skin or the actions of communities. Instead, all cultures should weave together into a coexisting blanket enriched with diverse cultural backgrounds.
