Atelier Bout d'terre
Description

Born into a family of artists, Marianne naturally trained in the visual arts. After graduating, she worked with photographers, film-makers and advertisers on graphic palettes before settling in Lyon.

A painter and sculptor, she founded the Bout d'Terre studio in Lyon in 1997 to share her passion on a daily basis. Marianne combines her painting with her writing, and has published two books on art. She also teaches at art schools and offers coaching using art and NLP, helping young people to prepare for entry to art schools.

Curious and inventive, this artist enjoys exploring various disciplines. She sublimates materials, shapes and spaces with her round clay sculptures - adorned with mosaic, paint or patina - and her paintings worked in volume, playing with thickness effects to capture light and colour in portraits, bodies or urban elements.
